Review Policy

Catherine and Pam do accept review copies of books; if you are wanting to have your book reviewed here, please read the following before you contact us.

Here at Tales As Old As Time Reviews, we are interested in fiction that takes place at any time before the 20th century, be they dramatisation of historical events and figures, or original characters and stories set in a time prior to modern times. However we do have some preferences as to locations and times – these are the types that we will be most interested in.

• Europe – England, Spain, France, Italy and Russia especially
• The Ancient World – Ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt and Troy
• China and Japan
• India

These are not strict guidelines regarding what we will read, so if you do have a historical novel that is outside the places listed here, do at least send us an email. Who knows – it might be something that we had not considered, but now that we have very much intrigues us.

 
Other notes regarding reviewing conditions, and what we will review at the request of authors include:

• We will both review ARCs and finished copies. Pam also accepts ebooks. Neither of us listen to audiobooks.
• Neither of us will accept for review self-published novels.
• We will not read and review unofficial sequels to classic works.
